Model Answer

Dear Sir / Madam,

I am writing in response to your advert for a waiter posted in the Worthing Post on Saturday.

I have recently returned from working as a waiter on a cruise ship for the past six months. I intend to settle in the area so I am looking for a full time job. I have extensive experience as a waiter; as well as working on cruise ships, I worked for 6 years as a head waiter in an Italian bistro very similar to yours. I have included all the relevant information in my cv which I have attached.

I feel that I would be a good fit for the position as not only am I very experienced but I also possess the personal characteristics mentioned in the advertisement. I enjoy working hard and am extremely reliable. As I am not working at the moment, I am available to interview whenever is convenient for you.

I look forward to hearing from you,

Yours faithfully,
